COVID Action Montréal is a mutual aid and disability justice collective that offers free, high-quality masks to help prevent the spread of COVID and other airborne illnesses. We work to raise awareness of the effects of COVID and how to best protect yourself and others, and we advocate for vulnerable members of our communities not just to survive, but to thrive.

If you're in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyaang / Montréal and need masks, either for yourself or for an event, we're happy to help out!

We have distro points set up throughout the city where you can go and pick up a few masks for free, no questions asked. See the map below for our currently-active distro points, or contact us if the map's giving you trouble. (We'd also love to hear from you if you're interested in helping with distribution!)

If none of the distro points work for you, or if you just want to talk to someone about your masking needs, contact us; we'll try to meet up somewhere more convenient for you. In the past, we've provided masks for events, so if you want to make your event safer, get in touch!

We aren't the only game in town! The folks over at Donate a Mask can mail you masks, which may be better for you. (Note that their wait times can be measured in weeks.)

Our Zines

While many of us understand the value of air filtration, knowing how much we actually need can seem tricky. To help demystify air filtration a bit, we made two zines!

The first zine, Clean Airithmetic, walks you through two ways of doing clean air math. The first is for figuring out how much filtration you need for a given activity/space, and the second is for figuring out how long it takes your filters to clean the air in a given space.
